The Site

With a new roof form and profile, the final design is well integrated within the site and landscape. The use of stone cladding at ground floor level and the lighter timber cladding at the upper section compliments the setting and context of the dwelling.

Located within the South-East Dorset Green Belt, Four Winds is a detached dwelling with an integral garage sited centrally on a very large plot, with fantastic views across to Poole Harbour.

This project involved a radical re-modelling of the existing dwelling to provide one cohesive, well-considered contemporary designed house. By positioning all the shared living spaces on the upper floor, the full extent of the amazing, panoramic vistas has been maximised.
