Kingston Bus Station
We are delighted to maintain our long standing relationship with our oldest client, VolkerFitzpatrick. From our first project in 2013 for the ERU Training Centre to this current commission we have been delighted with the flow of work and opportunities that we have been involved in.
We always receive positive feedback and ensure that we provide the very best advice and great level of support.
We are currently providing technical support and detailed production information to the VF team through the construction phase of the new Kingston Bus Station on Cromwell Road. The first bays are emerging of the Corten Steel Lattice structure which runs between the two new pavilions.
Numerous technical challenges have been tackled consistent with a very tight urban site. The ultimate client, Transport for London, remain closely involved and are frequent visitors to the site.
The detailed design proposals, created by others, went through a long and complicated gestation pre-contract period. Inevitably however lots of issues remained to be resolved and we have worked closely with the site team and the design sub-contractors to satisfy TfL requirements.
Some procurement issues have occurred which had distrupted the supply chain process but the team are confident that progress can be maintained and the project will be delivered successfully.
