A feasibility study prepared for a private client to explore the potential for the re-development of a key site in Southampton. The brief required the preparation of a number of options which included mixed-use, commercial, hotel and residential. Working with the urban design and planning team, sketch designs were prepared which explored different scenarios relating to scale, height and massing.
The responses also took potential future development on neighbouring sites into consideration as well as the adjacent landmark listed building on the Town Quay site. The study provided schedules of accommodation, net to gross ratios and site coverage to enable initial project appraisals to be prepared.
