This scheme is one of the first 'early win' projects to reach site as a result of the unique Bournemouth LABV project. Michael was the Design Director responsible for the bid support, co-ordination and delivery offered to Morgan Sindall Investments by Terence O'Rourke. The formation of the Bournemouth Development Company, collaboration between MSIL and the Local Authority represents the fruition of many months of work. This is now being delivered through a series of projects across the city.
The scheme includes 64 high quality apartments on the upper terrace with a flexible, mixed-use lower ground floor, which is capable of sub-division into three smaller units if necessary. The design was subject to intense scrutiny through the development process, both from a design and viability perspective. After careful consideration the project was given the 'green light' and started on site in April 2013. Michael led the design development, co-ordination and delivery workshops working closely with the whole team to develop the optimum solution.
